The Reform Dublin Pilates timetable includes ‘Studio’ classes. What are they?
Reform Studio (or Strength and Conditioning) classes are small classes that use specialized equipment, including the increasingly commonly used Reformer, to add variety and specificity to your workout. These classes are suitable for all levels of fitness, as well as complete beginners to Pilates, as each client works from a customized program to achieve their own goals whether it be increasing specific muscle strength (often to rehabilitate an injury), improving flexibility, reducing back or neck pain or losing weight.
We use the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Chair, and Spine Corrector, all invented by Joseph Pilates. Each provides a unique type of workout based on hundreds of exercises which have been developed to challenge every muscle in your body.
We can adjust the settings and tension of the springs on the equipment to change the intensity of your workout, and focus specifically on different parts of the body to achieve your goals. We also utilize small apparatus and some of the classical Pilates mat exercises to give you a rounded workout.
Everyone works off an individual program in a studio class. You will be fully supervised at all times by a qualified instructor, and class sizes will be limited to a maximum of 3-4 clients per hour (in Semi Private Sessions). You can also opt for a Private or a Duet Session if you are looking for individual attention.
