Catherina McKiernan Visits Reform Blackrock

The brilliant Catherina McKiernan ( spent the day in the studio today taking us through Chi Running, a technique developed in the US which she has been teaching for many years. Eight of us were taught how to run more efficiently in order to reduce injuries and improve fitness levels. This involved initially videoing our techniques and then learning drills to improve common faulty movement patterns such as heavy heel striking, lack of core control and postural related issues. We then braved the cold and wet weather in Blackrock Park to put what we had leant into practice. Catherina also shared tips on nutrition, footwear and training programs. If you missed today, I am hoping that Catherina will come back in February to do it all again.
